This is the online portfolio for Steve Fletcher. I'm a multimedia designer, front-end developer and e-commerce integration specialist.
I've worked with multi-talented project teams on the design and build phases of high-level e-commerce applications for some of the UK's biggest (and well-known) companies.
I design and build websites that are not only browser-independent, but are also accessible across a wide variety of user-agents from PDA's, web-enabled phones, touch-screen kiosks through to screen readers and Braille displays.
My solutions are stylish but practical websites that are hand-coded using the latest technologies, validated to W3C standards and WAI compliant.

Recent Projects
November 2007 - August 2010: SALMON.
High-level E-Commerce Project Team member dealing with pre-sales (initial design & presentation to clients) through to front-end build, integration with Java back-end, testing and delivery for some of the biggest retailers in the UK.
Projects involve design and integration of usable CSS & Javascript/Jquery front-end design patterns with Websphere Commerce JSP for the Salmon Application Framework for eCommerce (SAFE):
Previous Projects
January - November 2006: ARCADIA GROUP.
Completely new suite of e-commerce websites for Britain's largest retail giant.
All the UK's top brands:
Working with the Arcadia IT Programme Manager, I set-up, trained and directed the E-commerce Design Team throughout the design and build phase of the project to the successful launch of the major brands.
Contracted-in as Arcadia's E-commerce Consultant, I liased with IBM's Websphere Project Managers, Brand Directors and representatives, third-party design agencies, in-house graphic designers and web developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end user-interfaces and back-end technology.
All the sites use the same xhtml templates (served-up via IBM's Java-based Websphere), yet all were given their own unique brand 'look and feel' by using separate stylesheets based on Web Standards Project guidelines for accessibilty.
